Joseph Winnemore

Joseph P. Winnemore Jr. age 73 passed away on November 17, 2022. Joe as he liked to be called was born in Philadelphia and went to George Washington H.S. He was predeceased by his mother Margret (Peggy) Winnemore, his father Joseph P. Winnemore, Sr., sister Patricia Klein (Winnemore) and his wife Patricia L. Winnemore (nee Bowe).

Joe is survived by his sister Joanne Compton (Winnemore), foster sister Barbara Curry, his daughter Sherry McMahan (Winnemore), his step children Nick, Mark and Kimberly Naselli. Joe was a loving grandfather of Nicholas, James, Danielle, Andrew, Ryan, Todd, Gabrielle, Brett and the late Katie.

He will also sadly be missed by his great grandchildren Aiden, Adalin, Nicky, Ryan, and former PHILADELPHIA police partner Barb Rosenberg.

Joe retired from the Philadelphia Police Department after serving 29 years on the force. He was an Army Ranger serving in Vietnam, and last seen working at Barbera Car Dealership in the parts department. Joe loved riding his motorcycle, horse, and a driving boat. He loved oldies music, shooting pool and most of all dancing with his wife Pat.

And he owes Nick six years.

Relatives and friends may greet his family on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lambie Funeral Home 8000 Rowland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19136. Joe's memorial service and military honors will follow 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the request of his family.
