Marilyn L. Thompson Obituary (1933 - 2013)

Marilyn Louise (nee Herrmann), age 80 of Philadelphia passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late George Joseph Thompson with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Marilyn was born on August 22, 1933 in Philadelphia, she was the loving daughter of the late Robert R. Herrmann and Mary Louise (nee Eckley) Herrmann. She is survived by her sister, Elnore F. Lawler. She graduated from Frankford High School in 1951. After receiving a BA degree from Ursinus College in 1955, she worked initially at the Frankford Arsenal. Later, along with her husband, they successfully created the Thompson Trophy Company in Tacony, PA. She will be missed by family and friends. Graveside services will be private at the family's request.
