Theresa “Terri” Powers Obituary (1942 - 2018)

Theresa "Terri" Powers passed away on September 20, 2018. She is the beloved daughter of the late Leo and Eleanor Powers. She is the loving sister of Marilyn Cimino (the late Daniel), Patricia Shamis (Gary), Lynda Powers Zobel (the late John), she was predeceased by her siblings William Moss (Annette), John Powers (late Rose), Edward Powers (Ann), Leo Powers (the late Dolores), Angela Dominguez (Pablo), Mary Bader (Russ) and Ellie Garson (Joseph). She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends, best friends Carol, Randi, Sue, Karen and her cat Flower. Terri was a self made woman who had two businesses. She had an IT recruiting firm and as a Certified Hypnotist she had clients she helped to quit smoking etc. Terri had envisioned her self attending St. Joseph University that became a reality when it went coed. In her spare time she volunteered at animal shelters for many years, she taught English classes to Chinese Americans, she was involved with the Tredyffirin Police Town Watch Association and their ride along program. She loved and practiced yoga and was an avid reader. Terri's personal side was loving, sensitive and she was an advocate for the underdog. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Lambie Funeral Home 8000 Rowland Avenue (At Rhawn Street). Her memorial service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be private at the families request. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Terri's name to an animal shelter of your choice would be appreciated.
