Delores L. Floyd

Delores Loretta Floyd, a spirited and compassionate woman, passed away on August 22, 2026. Born on June 18, 1934, in Philadelphia, PA, she was a beacon of warmth and generosity, illuminating the lives of those around her. Delores was a woman of unwavering faith, a testament of which was her devotion to spreading the word of God. She lived her faith and was an embodiment of love, embodying the teachings of Jesus in her actions and her interactions with others.

Delores was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, where she spent 92 joy-filled years. She found her calling in the field of education, and as a tutor, she touched many lives, inspiring and nurturing young minds. Despite her commitments, Delores found time to indulge in her hobbies. She was a vibrant roller-skater in her youth, a pastime through which she met her late husband, Lewis Floyd. She had a fondness for the Poconos, enjoyed taking her family to the shore, and had a passion for cooking for her loved ones. Above all, Delores treasured her family and her faith, the two cornerstones of her life.

Delores is survived by her loving daughter Brenda Floyd, cherished grandchildren Brian Gallagher and Heather Seales, and adored great-grandchildren Kaden Seales and Noah Hottle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bertha Meyer, beloved spouse Lewis Floyd, and her dear daughter Roxzanne Floyd.

Relatives and friends are invited to Delores's visitation on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Lambie Funeral Home (8000 Rowland Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19136). Her Homegoing service will follow 11:00am at the same funeral home. Delores will be laid to rest North Cedar Hill Cemetery with her family.
