It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of James Edward Ganard, affectionately known to many as Jimmy, born on the 6th of December 1955 in Philadelphia, PA. Known for his ambitious spirit and generous heart, Jimmy was a beacon of creative energy and wit who touched the lives of many. Despite getting sick, he loved and continued to work as a truck driver for Eastern Produce Distribution Company, his steadfast work ethic never faded. He found immense joy in laboring with his own hands, particularly when it came to improving his home, a testament to his love for craftsmanship and creativity.
Jimmy was a man of simple pleasures. He found immense joy in watching his favorite sports teams, the Eagles and Phillies, play. However, his greatest source of happiness came from his canine companions, Jay and Kay. His generous nature extended to all, but his love for his dogs was unparalleled. The bond they shared was a beautiful testament to his caring and nurturing spirit.
Jimmy is survived by his brothers, Robert Ganard (Theresa) and William Ganard (Barbara), his beloved friend and companion Martha Verosky, his daughters, Dorothy Ganard and Heather Vitelli; his son, James Ganard; and his grandson, Hunter Ganard. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca, father, William Ganard; mother, Pauline Ganard; and his sister, Cindi Quixano.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Lambie Funeral Home, 8000 Rowland Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19136.
