It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Roseann Heron, a loving, thoughtful, spirited, and supportive soul. Born on February 27, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA, Mary was a lifelong resident of the city, infusing the lives of all who knew her with her radiant personality. She was wife, mom, grandmother, great grandmother but was so much more to those who had the privilege of knowing her. Mary's life was a testament to the depth of her love for her family and her passion for life.
Mary was a remarkable woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid dancer, a skilled crocheter, and an enthusiastic bowler. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her frequent walks, long car rides, and beach trips. Her love for tanning was a testament to her spirited nature, always embracing the warmth and light of the sun. Yet, amidst all these pursuits, what mattered most to Mary was her family. She was a devoted mother and an adoring grandmother whose love knew no bounds.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Debby Tausendfreundt and Terry Heron, her son, James Heron, her grandchildren, Dawn, Tiffany, Mike, James, Lori, Heather, Jessy, Danniel, Will, Adrianna, Joey, Cody, Randy, Johnny, Debby, Christy, many great grandchildren and her great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Laura Gabel, her son Joe Heron, her beloved husband, Joseph Heron and her granddaughter Shirley Heron.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Lambie Funeral Home. A service to celebrate her life will follow 11:00 am at the funeral home. Mary will be laid to rest in Greenmount Cemetery with her parents.
We invite all who knew and loved Mary to share their memories and photographs on her memorial page. In doing so, we can honor her memory and celebrate the remarkable life she lived. Mary's legacy of love, compassion, and resilience will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
